Daylight savings is great in that we don’t have to wake up in the dark any longer. But as the day goes on and I get tired earlier in the day because it’s actually an hour later, I need some pick me up items to keep me going while I adjust.
First off, a good face scrub for the dry skin that starts to appear from the cold weather is a must. I like Mario Badescu’s Strawberry Facial Scrub. Then apply a good moisturizer (naturally). I love the Kiehls “daily revive” serum to help keep my skin looking healthy and alive all day long. You can’t forget lipgloss, I love the new holiday collection by Nars. Throw on a good scarf before leaving the house. I always wear a scarf. It’s a great throw on piece when it gets cold and easy to stow away in your bag when you don’t need it. An added bonus is they look so chic!
Make sure you leave enough time to grab a Starbucks seasonal Pumpkin Spice latte
for the commute.
Candles, candles and some more candles…
After a long day, light some scented candles to brighten and stimulate the senses when it begins getting dark at 4pm. Dyptique is a wonderful brand but I’ve been told there are some really good ones from Magnolia for Target.
